Hi there, the snake on the leaf was placed there by myself. It was constantly moving and I had trouble focusing that one.

The black and yellow mangrove snake was in a mangrove on an Indonesian island that is part of the Riau archipelago, about 45 minutes from Singapore by boat. I was standing in a 'tinny', my wife seated behind me. I was holding the branch that held the snake in my right hand and clumsily took the photograph with my left hand as the little boat rocked to and fro. If the snake fell in to the boat we could not hop out due to crocodiles. I managed a few shots before the snake really woke up.
